Ministry to the Sick & Home Bound
Parishioners who participate in this ministry receive training to make pastoral visits and bring the Sacrament of Holy Communion to members of our parish family who are home bound, in hospitals or other healthcare facilities. Through their compassionate presence and prayer, our lay ministers become signs of the loving care of our parish community to those unable to join in our liturgical services. When there is a need, Care-Teams of ministers are formed to help those who are ill and have multiple needs. These teams of 5-6 members rotate their service weekly offering Holy Communion, meals, respite care, transportation, minor home repairs or whatever the person may need. Bereavement Ministry
Several teams of parishioners offer comfort in the name of our parish family by preparing food and serving meals to our bereaved families following funeral liturgies. Bereaved families receive a special invitation to celebrate a special Memorial Mass offered on the first Thursday of each month at 5:30 pm in the Chapel. A condolence note is also sent to each bereaved family, together with a listing of local grief support groups. For further information, please contact:
