The St. Francis Xavier Parish School of Religion (P.S.R.) programs help the students of our parish grow in their knowledge and love of Christ and in the sacramental life of His Church. Our position as religious educators is complementary to that of our parents, and we seek to support them in their role as the "primary and principal educators" of their children. Our staff and volunteers strive to follow this special calling in an environment that is educational, safe, and welcoming for our students.

COMMON QUESTIONS ABOUT P.S.R. AND THE SACRAMENT CLASSES FOR P.S.R. AND S.F.X. STUDENTS!
What is P.S.R.?
P.S.R. stands for parish school of religion.  P.S.R. is for children in 4k-8th grade who do not attend a Catholic school.  P.S.R. classes meet at 9:45-10:45 a.m. on Sundays during the school year.
Will the P.S.R. classes prepare my child fot the sacraments in 2nd and 8th grades?

P.S.R classes in1st and 2nd grades are the preparation for First Reconcililiation and First Eucharist.
P.S.R. classes in 7th and 8th grades, plus a monthly group class, service activities, and a retreat in 8th grade, are the sacrament preparation classes for confirmation.

What if my child goes to St. Francis Xavier School?
P.S.R. 2nd and 8th grade classes join St. Francis Xavier School 2nd and 8th grade classes for the sacraments.  Sacrament preparation for the students at St. Francis Xavier School is done in the classroom during the week plus several weekend group classes with the student's in P.S.R.  Check the sacrament calendars for the weekend dates.
Why is there a fee for the St. Francis Xavier School students?
The fee pays for the class materials.  Everyone pays a fee because the sacrament classes are seperate from the school.
What are the fees?
P.S.R. 4k-7th grade:  $50/student
S.F.X. 2nd grade:  $50/student
P.S.R. 8th grade and S.F.X. 8th grade:$125/student
*Please note:  The fee for P.S.R. students who did not attend P.S.R. in 7th grade is $150.  They will complete what was done in 7th grade online in addition to the 8th grade confirmation requirements.
How can I pay?
You can pay with cash, check or Venmo.  The church Venmo is SFX Church @SFXChurch.
